new author

I need a new one to delve into. My favorite author is G.G. Marquez and I'm almost done with everything he's ever done :-( Daaaah. that's sad. I know when the end of an era is coming. Well, I've been reading him since freshman year in highschool so I think 10+ years is an okay run. My fave book is still 100 Years :-)

Where is my NativeSon? I started reading that and got lost in his foreword about Bigger. That thing could've been a novella by itself!! I do like the way Wright writes; seems like I'm reading a play with all the dialogue. Speaking of which, I guess I could start reading plays hardcore again. I love TheElephantMan: APlay and of course DeathofaSalesman. There are a handful of typical Shakespeare's plays that I would read again, starting with the one I saw performed (Midsummer's); Macbeth, Hamlet, etc. While on that subject, have you heard of R&C are Dead? OMG, great read after Hamlet!! Oooh, anything by Dante is good for me! Let's gone 'head and get the whole comedy! I've only read Inferno and was thoroughly engrossed. Imagine how nice Paradiso would be???

Ooh, I think Kiss is my favorite play. That one was GOOOOOOOOOOOD! I recommend that HIGHLY! I love it cause it's world lit, meaning it was translated into English!!

Okay, nevermind. I have tons to catch up on!

Have you read Octavia Butler? Love, love, LOVE her!! She's a black lady who rights science fiction and always works in a critique on society. Good stuff.

I'm reading whoreson right now. Not my usual type, but my friend was reading it and let me borrow. Its good for a book about pimps.

I can't read plays. I forget to read who's saying what. I do that sometimes with comments too, lol
